I can´t spell!
I thought I was so clever giving the previous blog a title only to discover I made a spelling mistake in the title.
Oh well, pride comes before a fall so they say!!!!

The mysterious case of Thoams and the dislocated thumb!
Thomas will only get happily out of bed if there are pancakes for breakfast. So I usually make some at the weekend and freeze them, then defrost 2 in the microwave for him for breakfast. I then go and wake him up and he goes down to the kitchen to eat. He doesn´t talk to anyone before breakfast and I leave him alone till he has finished.
Anyway, that is how it happened that on Monday morning Sam calls out, "mum, Thomas has done something to his hand!"
On closer inspection the thumb on his left hand, ( he is left-handed ) was very swollen, totally at a weird angle and not usable.
I investigated carefully and the whole thing was out of place so I carefully popped it back into it´s socket and then we were off to the hospital.
Nothing broken just dislocated. He was told he could go to school but not to use his thumb for 3 days. They didn´t even bandage it up.
The scary thing is that we have no idea how he did it and he never complained of any pain, not even when I popped it back into place, he was more upset that he couldn´t eat his breakfast!
Of course he didn´t rest it and came home from school 2 days in a row with it still very swollen and hot. He even had plasticine under the thumbnail, so I dread to think what he had been doing all day. I had to bandage the whole hand like it was in a mitten, but without a thumb and then I had him place his hand across his chest and wrapped him in a huge elastic bandage so he couldn´t even move the hand. He wasn´t impressed but it worked.
What will he get into next? I dread to think!!!!!

So I thought it was a good idea! Carlos went to England on friday and I decided to suprise him by borrowing the neighbours power washer and cleaning all the outside for him. He never seems to have the time. Anyway, as I said, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
After the first 30 minutes I realised I had bitten off more than I could chew! Unfortunately it was making such a difference that there was no way I could stop, whereas before it had looked a little grubby, compared with the newly cleaned wall the rest just looked positively filthy!!
So, 3 and a half hours later I finished the front!!
I ache all over, ( we won´t even talk aboout my back ) and I ruined a pair of shoes, but, I did it! I didn´t give up and it does look nice! Only 2 problems, 1. I´ve got the power washer bug! 2. The back garden is looking really dirty to me now and 3. ( just remembered number 3 ) it may be clean but now it shows just how much it all needs a lick of paint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, back to work!!!!!

So I am at school workin on some projects and i have had enough! So i decided to add some piccies of my mission in Cape Verde!

This is a huge tree we had to hike through the mounatins to get to this tree but it was way worth. IT IS HUGE!!

We went on a boat to the island closest to the island i was on. This island is called Santo Antão. We walked all the way down to the ocean in the background. Nearly killed me! My legs felt like jelly for days! haha

JUST DANCE !!!!
Yep, Jan has bought "Just Dance" for the wii and I caught this on my mobile, hence the video quality isn't so good but you get the idea !!! Personally if i hear "Hammer time" or "Who let the dogs out" once more today I'll scream..... For some reason you might need to click the play button a couple of times to get it started.
